Spimabo

"Financially manageable, and yet the machine does everything I want"

About Spimabo

Spimabo is active as a machine manufacturer in numerous sectors, such as the food, pharmaceutical, and hardware industries. At Spimabo, they handle everything in-house, from engineering to machine construction, including control systems. Their machines serve various purposes, ranging from raw material processing to filling.

These machines are obviously not built by hand. Precision and accuracy are essential to ensure all parts fit perfectly. Therefore, Spimabo has a large machine park, equipped with, among others, a press brake, milling and turning machines, and sawing and drilling machines.

Spimabo expanded its machine park with a CNC-controlled water jet cutting machine: the Swift-Jet Pro. Owner Bart Spitters sees only advantages in his latest acquisition.

“I’m no longer dependent on suppliers for cutting jobs and can easily cut all kinds of materials myself. It gives me much more flexibility and also ensures excellent cutting quality,” says Spitters.

“We had been looking for a solution for our cutting work for some time. But if you, for example, look at a laser cutting machine, it’s a bit over our budget. In the end, Wouters recommended the Swift-Jet Pro to us. A machine that is financially manageable for us, but above all, can actually handle all the cutting tasks I perform within my company. We reached an agreement at the end of last year; at the beginning of this year, we started cutting the first products,” the owner explains.

With the Swift-Jet Pro, Spimabo brings in a versatile machine. Now they can count on:

  • flexibility: the water jet cutting machine cuts through various materials;
  • speed: no more waiting for deliveries from suppliers;
  • quality: by cutting in-house, you maintain control over the finish;
  • simplicity: a short training was sufficient to learn how to operate the machine.

And they notice this at Spimabo too.

“Whether it’s stainless steel, aluminum, or plexiglass, we load the customer’s drawing, set the necessary parameters, and cut the desired product in the right quality. A quality that, in many cases, is significantly better than the quality of outsourcing. This is also because we can cut more calmly, which has a positive effect on the cut. Outsourcing to third parties usually means a delivery time of two to three weeks. Now, we simply do those jobs ourselves,” Spitters adds.

Making rapid strides

Bart Spitters has not regretted the collaboration with Wouters Cutting & Welding for a second. The secret? A machine that perfectly fits his issue combined with excellent service.

“They are always there for us. If something goes wrong or you’re not sure how best to approach a certain task, you just call Wouters, and you can count on a practical answer in no time. Thanks to this collaboration and, of course, the machine itself, I have been able to make my business – which I recently took over from my father – a bit more professional,” Spitters concludes.
