About Hekamp

The Dutch family business Hekamp, founded in the 1970s, specializes in designing and producing attachments for agricultural and construction machinery. From sweepers to bale clamps and front blades, Hekamp offers a wide range of durable, custom-made solutions for tractors, wheel loaders, telehandlers, and forklifts. With a strong focus on automation, the company operates highly efficiently with a compact team of just ten employees. “We try to automate as much as possible. For example, we currently use five welding robots,” says Henk Kampert, who runs the company together with his sons.

Faster, more precise, and more flexible cutting
To better meet the high-quality standards of their customers, Hekamp recently invested in a new CNC-controlled cutting machine: the MicroStep MG 14501.45 PrkGG. It replaces the previous model, which had been in use for many years. Choosing to invest in new technology was a deliberate strategy. “The old machine still performed well, but we wanted to stay ahead by embracing technological advancements,” Kampert explains.

The new machine combines plasma and oxy-fuel cutting, can process plates up to 80 mm thick, and features an endlessly rotating plasma rotator for bevel cuts. This allows complex cutting tasks to be completed in a single operation, saving both time and post-processing. The modular design and dual-side drive contribute to high precision and cutting speed.
