In-House Cutting for Greater Flexibility

To keep up with increasing demand and reduce dependence on suppliers, AJK decided to replace its 30-year-old plasma cutting machine. “Outsourcing would have cost us about the same as buying a new machine, but we would’ve lost flexibility. So the decision was easy.”

The new MicroStep EasyCut features a 4.5 by 1.5 meter table and is equipped with three oxy-fuel torches, allowing the company to cut steel up to 200 mm thick. “That’s important for us—curved and rounded parts still fit under the gantry.”

Tailored Installation and Smooth Collaboration

Installation required precise coordination due to limited space. “It was a real puzzle, but WCW handled it flawlessly thanks to their experience.” The software integration with AJK’s existing system was also executed seamlessly. “WCW ensured the machine’s control system integrated perfectly with our current nesting software.”
