About TRBA
If you require groundworks, drainage, or roadworks, TRBA is the go-to company in Wallonia. With their headquarters in Péruwelz, they are not only the market leader. They are also consistently growing. With over 600 employees, they generate a turnover of approximately €150 million. Their work has earned them numerous accolades.

To carry out all their work, they minimise reliance on external suppliers.
“We aim to outsource as little as possible,” says Alain Casteele, Head of Investments at TRBA. “This applies not only to the work itself but also to the maintenance of our machinery. While most construction companies subcontract such tasks, we can act flexibly and swiftly.”

They also perform their own cutting work. For this, they used a smaller cutting machine measuring 1.5 by 3 metres. However, it quickly became too small, necessitating greater capacity. This led them to Wouters Cutting & Welding.
“We collaborated to identify the precise requirements and provide the ideal machine,” explains Nic Wouters, Managing Director of Wouters Cutting & Welding. “We opted for the MicroStep CombiCut 12001.20 Prk + CH1000.”

The MicroStep provides the necessary tools for self-sufficiency. The CombiCut boasts a working area of an impressive 12,000 mm by 2,000 mm.
“It also features a high-definition plasma source capable of cutting up to 40 mm thick plates and bevelled edges. The same applies to steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. For this, they use a bevel head that can tilt up to 50 degrees,” adds Nic.
A significant advantage of this machine is its adaptability for optional extras.

Nic Wouters: “In the future, we have the option of adding a pipe manipulator to the machine for clamping pipes or profiles, for example. This involves a four-jaw chuck, which allows for clamping box sections, enabling various holes and bevels to be cut into these products.”
“Additionally, the machine has a marking unit. This is beneficial for projects where traceability is crucial. It aids in tracking and aligns with our goal of providing a comprehensive service. We strive to offer that extra touch.”
Now that TRBA has the CombiCut in operation, they are delighted with the partnership.

“Professionalism and trust are paramount for us,” states Alain Casteele. “Wouters Cutting & Welding demonstrated their professionalism from the outset, which instilled our confidence. Their after-sales service is also exceptional.”
It is the service that sets WCW apart.
“If a machine breaks down or stops, we need to act quickly. You often hear ‘we’ll get those parts tomorrow.’ We aim to address this by providing telephone support or remote machine access. Thanks to TeamViewer, we can log in remotely and seek a solution or find an alternative route to provide a temporary fix,” concludes Nic.
